I got involved in Archery at St Helens Archers Club in 2013. I was interested in trying the sport out and learning more about Archery, after my husband joined the Club the previous year. I completed the Beginners Training Course in the Summer of that year, alongside our daughter, Samantha. Now we all shoot as members of St Helens Archers.
I am a Left Handed Recurve Archer and have recently achieved my 1st Class classification. I am keen to further progress my Archery skills.
I enjoy taking part in the odd competition or two, when I get the opportunity. When not competing myself, I am often around to support other Club members at competitions and sometimes take the opportunity to snap some Photos of our Club Archers in action.
I started to assist with Club events in my first year with the Club, for example organising the Club Raffles at events, and making fun targets for some of the Shoots. Then in 2014 I was invited to join the Club Committee. In 2015, after completing a Course on Safeguarding, I took on the role of Child Protection Officer with the Club, a role which I currently still hold.
